These terms cover everything run as Kar's Cops and Robbers ("KCNR", "we"): the KCNR V server on FiveM, the classic KCNR server on SA-MP / open.mp, our Discord server and its bots (including Jessica), and the websites kcnr.net and lvcnr.net. KCNR is run by Karim Cambridge. By using any of them you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use them.
1. Who can play
- You must be at least 13. If you're under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you.
- You must also follow the terms of the platforms you use to reach us: Discord, Cfx.re / FiveM, Rockstar Games, and open.mp or SA-MP.
- You may not use KCNR if we've banned you, or if the law forbids it.
2. Your account
- One person per account. You're responsible for everything done on it.
- Keep your password secret and don't reuse it from other sites. We will never ask for it.
- Don't share, sell, buy, trade or give away accounts, characters or in-game items.
- We can rename or reclaim a name that breaks these terms or is misleading.
3. Rules of conduct
Follow the in-game rules (/rules) and the Discord rules. They are part of these terms. Never:
- cheat: mod menus, hacks, injectors, macros, exploiting bugs, or anything that gives an unfair advantage;
- harass, threaten, bully, or attack anyone for who they are (race, religion, gender, sexuality, disability and so on);
- share someone's personal information (doxxing), or impersonate another player or a member of staff;
- post sexual content involving minors, illegal content, or content that breaks Discord's or Rockstar's rules;
- spam or advertise, including other servers;
- trade in-game items, money or accounts for real money or anything outside the game;
- evade a ban or punishment with another account, a VPN or anything else;
- attack, overload, scrape, reverse-engineer or probe our servers, bots or websites.
4. Moderation
Staff decide what breaks the rules. We can warn, mute, jail, kick or ban you, remove content, reset or remove in-game progress, and close accounts. We do this at our discretion, with or without notice, and anywhere in KCNR, whether it happened in game, on Discord or elsewhere. You can appeal on Discord. We keep records of rule breaks and bans to enforce them (see the Privacy Policy).
5. In-game money and items
In-game money, items, vehicles, properties, ranks and progress have no real-world value and are not your property. You get a personal licence to use them in game, and that licence ends when your account does. We can change, rebalance, reset or wipe them at any time without compensation.
6. Donations
- Donations are voluntary gifts that help keep KCNR online. They are paid through Wise and matched by hand.
- A donation to KCNR V buys nothing in game: no items, money, ranks or advantages.
- On classic KCNR (SA-MP), we may thank donors with perks. Those perks are part of section 5: we can change or remove them, and they carry no value.
- Donations are non-refundable, except where the law gives you a right to a refund.
- Only donate with money you're allowed to use. If you're under 18, ask a parent or guardian first.
- Charging back or disputing a donation you made is treated as abuse, and may lead to a ban.
7. Discord and our bots
- Our Discord server follows Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines as well as these terms.
- Our bots relay chat between the game and Discord, post server events, run commands and let you link your game account to your Discord account. Don't abuse, spam or try to break them.
- Linking is optional. You can unlink at any time.
8. What you post
You keep what you write or create: chat, suggestions, bug reports, screenshots, videos. You give us a free, worldwide licence to show, store, copy and use it to run, moderate and promote KCNR. You're responsible for it, and it must not break these terms or anyone else's rights.
9. Our content
Our code, maps, scripts, logos, the names "Kar's Cops and Robbers" and "KCNR", and this website belong to us. Don't copy, redistribute, resell or rehost them without permission. See the brand page for logo use.
10. Not affiliated
KCNR is a fan-run community. It is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Rockstar Games, Take-Two Interactive, Cfx.re, open.mp or Discord. Grand Theft Auto and its content belong to their owners.
11. No guarantees
KCNR is provided "as is" and "as available", for free. We don't promise it will always be online, free of bugs, or keep your progress. We can change, pause or shut down any part of it at any time.
12. Limit of liability
As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data, progress or in-game items. Our total liability to you for anything is limited to the amount you donated in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that can't legally be limited.
13. Ending things
You can stop using KCNR at any time and ask us to delete your account (see the Privacy Policy). We can suspend or end your access if you break these terms. Sections 5, 6, 8, 9, 11, 12 and 14 survive that.
14. Changes and the law
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Big changes are announced on Discord, and using KCNR after a change means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of the country where KCNR's operator lives, but you keep any consumer rights your own country's law gives you that can't be waived.
