This policy explains what Kar's Cops and Robbers ("KCNR", "we") collects when you use the KCNR V server (FiveM), the classic KCNR server (SA-MP / open.mp), our Discord server and bots (including Jessica), and the websites kcnr.net and lvcnr.net. KCNR is run by Karim Cambridge, who is responsible for your data. Contact: support@kcnr.net.
1. What we collect
Your account
- Username and password (stored only as a hash).
- Email address, if you give one, used for account recovery and verification.
- Language, settings, and account dates (registration, logins).
Connection and device data, collected automatically when you join a game server
- Your IP address, with the country, region, ISP and hostname looked up from it.
- Platform identifiers: on KCNR V your FiveM/Rockstar licence, Steam and Discord identifiers that FiveM provides (stored even if you never link Discord); on classic KCNR your SA-MP client serial.
- Whether your connection looks like a VPN or proxy.
What you do in game
- Your characters, progress, money, items, vehicles and stats.
- Public chat and the commands you type. Passwords typed into commands are not logged on KCNR V.
- On classic KCNR, private messages and whispers between players are logged and visible to staff.Don't use them for anything you wouldn't want staff to read.
- Gameplay events such as logins, deaths, arrests, purchases and missions.
- Reports, complaints, rule breaks, punishments and bans, including the IP and identifiers they apply to.
Voice: KCNR V has voice chat. It is live only and never recorded.
Discord
- Messages in channels our bots can read, which includes the channels that relay chat between the game and Discord.
- Your Discord user ID and name, if you link your game account (and your votes on suggestions).
- Messages you send our bots, such as link and recovery commands.
Donations: your name, the amount, the date and the payment reference Wise shows us. We never see your card or bank details.
Websites: no accounts, no forms, no analytics, and we set no cookies. Cloudflare, our host, processes your IP address and request details to serve and protect the sites, and may set strictly necessary security cookies to tell people from bots. Archive pages may embed YouTube videos (youtube-nocookie.com), which load from YouTube when you play them.
2. Why we use it
- To run the game and your account: logging in, saving progress, recovering your account. Basis: needed to provide the service you asked for (contract).
- To keep KCNR fair and safe: detecting cheats, VPN ban evasion and multi-accounting; moderating chat; enforcing bans; investigating reports. Basis: our legitimate interest, and our players', in a fair and safe game.
- Optional extras: linking Discord, adding an email. Basis: your consent, which you can withdraw by unlinking or removing it.
- To communicate: recovery codes, verification emails, and replies to your messages. Basis: contract, or your consent.
- To keep records the law requires, such as for donations, and to defend legal claims. Basis: legal obligation.
We don't sell your data, we don't use it for advertising, and we don't make automated decisions about you beyond automatic anti-cheat and anti-VPN checks, which staff can review.
3. Who sees it
- KCNR staff (volunteer admins) can see account details, IPs, identifiers, logs and moderation history when they need them for their role. Some of this is shown in private staff channels on Discord.
- Other players see your name, in-game activity and public chat. Public game chat is also posted in our public Discord channels, and Discord messages are shown in game.
- Service providers that process data for us:
- Cloudflare: website hosting, storage and email routing.
- Discord: our community server and bots.
- Google (Gmail) and Resend: sending recovery and verification emails.
- ip-api.com, IPHub and GetIPIntel: your IP is sent to them to look up country and ISP and to detect VPNs.
- Wise: donations.
- Our server hosting provider (OVH).
- The platforms you play through (Cfx.re / FiveM, Rockstar Games, open.mp, Discord) collect data under their own privacy policies, which we don't control.
- Authorities, if the law requires it or to protect someone's safety.
Some of these providers are outside your country, including in the United States and the EU. Where the law requires it, transfers rely on their standard contractual safeguards.
4. How long we keep it
- Account and game data: while your account exists. Deleted within 30 days of an accepted deletion request.
- Login, connection, chat and command logs: up to 12 months. Server log files: 14 days.
- Moderation records and bans, with the IPs and identifiers they cover: as long as the ban or its risk lasts, or as long as we need them to defend a legal claim. Records of serious abuse may be kept longer.
- Recovery and verification codes: they expire within a day.
- Donation records: as long as the law requires.
- Discord messages stay on Discord under Discord's rules. We delete link data when you unlink.
5. Your choices and rights
These rights apply to every player, wherever you live.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your data.
- You can get a copy of it in a machine-readable format.
- You can object to how we use it, ask us to limit it while a dispute is sorted out, or withdraw consent you gave.
- We may keep what we need to enforce bans, stop abuse or meet legal duties. If you're banned, deleting your account does not remove the ban.
- To prove the account is yours, we may ask you to confirm from its email or linked Discord. We may refuse requests that are clearly unfounded or excessive.
- Email support@kcnr.net or open a ticket on Discord. We reply within 30 days. If you're unhappy with our answer, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
6. Children
KCNR is for people aged 13 and over, and under-18s need a parent or guardian's permission. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, email us and we'll delete it.
7. Security
We store passwords as hashes, limit staff tools by staff rank, log what staff do with them, and keep servers and credentials private. No system is perfect. Use a password you don't use anywhere else, and tell us straight away if you think your account has been compromised. If a breach puts your data at risk, we'll tell you as the law requires.
8. Changes
We'll update this policy when what we collect changes. The date at the top shows the latest version, and big changes are announced on Discord.
